It doesn't take much to upset a person who believes in a version of history that was invented; all you have to do is provide evidence that they are wrong, and they will start to have furious moments of existential crisis. That is why much Zionist logic which defends the existence of the colonial-settler state of Israel can be boiled down to denial of the very existence of the Palestinian people, and very literally any proof of life before the creation of the Zionist state in 1948, which was an initiation of 70 years of ethnic cleansing of the land to "make the fantasy so." In a very literal sense, to exist (and of course to identify ourselves as ourselves) is the act of resistance itself. Yes - even trees!
