People still get so uncomfortable because they think it's like intellectual cheating when someone says "that's racist," but I think it's scientific and that there's a clear formula for how pulpits of power and propaganda use racism in order to "extinguish" people's righteous anger around issues and questioning the legitimacy of certain systems as a whole. What typically happens is this sequence: a systematic policy-based racist attack will outrage people (and of course this happens more and more now because we are more inclined to see it happen before our very eyes - and quickly). People will start to become outraged and question the policies that allow this to happen. Then, those in power will come out and use racist arguments to try to RETARD the moral outrage - so racism is basically their own little logic and morality extinguisher (hence the visual metaphor); hoping the foamy little rhetorical tricks will take up some space in the conversation and muffle the flames of people's popular questioning. Thus, people stop talking about young unarmed black boys being shot in the street by the people whose literal job it is to protect them and instead they turn the conversation to combating the very illogical suggestions that the kid was "no angel," or that he "had some weed on him," or that he "isn't a saint," and totally ignore the very obvious logical and moral stances that none of these things in any way ever should constitute an automatic, unadjudicated death sentence of a child. People who already have the racist retardant in their minds all the time will come out and hear this whacky foamy argument loud and clear, and replicate it. Even some countries who KNOW racism is a problem here will create little online robots that take advantage of the poor logic and spew it around the internet solely to cause division.
Who's reaching for this stuff? Definitely the Zionist state as they continue to massacre Palestinians and use racist tactics to try to make you think innocent people deserve collective punishment. (Look at the narrative of #RazanNajjar and how they are trying to convince everyone she "was no angel.") Definitely President 45 (I really hate saying its name out loud on the internet, it is a very ego hungry one and I hate adding to it). It's his favorite one. Definitely anyone who thinks "immigrants are the problem" in this country... Always anyone who tries to convince you that an entire "Group of People Act Some Way Or Another and Thus Deserve What Has Happened"
