Frank, distraught over the ebb and flow of politics and the drastic changes in the presentation of political attitudes, tries to update his old friend - the sometimes reclusive cynic Arnie B - on the changing political climate and the injustices that have outraged everyone in this day and age. Arnie - unshaken and not surprised - reminds our carbon-dioxide-breathing co-star of this country's origins, which are rooted in a massive genocidal land theft resulting in the violent deaths of 94 million native people. Can justice actually co-exist if we treat this land like the property of those who stole it? It's a serious rhetorical question that applies to this a-little-over-200-year-old colony and persists in many other colonies and former colonies around the world; to some, this is an inconvenient truth, but it is undeniable and remains central. Despite "memoricide" attempts it has to be addressed and redressed or somehow - spiritually - the ideals of equality and democracy can't truly survive! (subtext of our sarcastic co-protagonist)
